Healthy sex life
Having sex two to three times a week can add three years to the life.
It helps to burn huge amount of calories. Moreover, regular sex lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity, improves sleep and protects heart. So, for healthy lifestyle a good sex life is also essential.
Turn off the TV
One of the studies has shown that eating in front of TV can lead to the problem of obesity. In fact, a 2010 study has shown that watching TV for more than 2 hours can increase the overall risk of dying by 11% and dying from heart disease by 18%.
So it is better to watch television for less than an hour.
Stay away from the Sun
It is better to avoid too much sun. Avoiding too much sun lowers the risk of skin cancer and prevents wrinkles, fine lines and saggy skin.
It would be beneficial to use sunscreen (of SPF 30 or higher) on the exposed body parts
Recent study has shown that hanging out with friends once or twice a week lowers the risk of heart disease. Loneliness leads to depression, so it is better to reach out with friends and families once or twice a week in order to live longer and healthier life.
Avoid excessive drinking
Drinking too much alcohol not only ruins your health but also leads to relationship problems. However, consuming smaller quantities of alcohol might be beneficial to health.
A 2010 study in the journal of American College of Cardiology linked light drink to significant heart benefit.
Alcohol has its own benefit to our body but too much of sugar is always bitter.
Focus on fruits and vegetables
There is a saying an apple a day keeps a doctor away. Fruits and vegetables are rich in nutrients and help reduce the risk of heart disease and breast cancer.
So, fruits and vegetables are very crucial to live a longer and healthier life.
Regular physical exercise has many advantages such as weight control, reduce risk of cardiovascular disease, strengthen muscles, reduce risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome, improves mental health and many most importantly make you feel young and healthy.
Even light exercise can lower the risk of heart problems.
So, regular exercise is the key to healthier and longer life.
Single most sacrifice one can make to live a longer life is by quitting smoking. A study published in the journal of Public health found that women who quit smoking at age of 35 add six to seven years to their lives.
So, it is never too late to quit bad habit and adopt healthy lifestyle.
